Charles Leonard Decorative Finishes is a San Francisco Bay Area company that specializes in traditional and contemporary decorative finishes. We provide a wide range of services to aesthetically enhance residential and commercial interiors. CLDF focuses on collaborating with interior designers, architects, building contractors and clients to see their vision through to completion.
Growing up in a family full of painters, Charles is a third generation artist, having 19 years of experience working professionally with leading designers and architects in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles.
Upon receiving a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, he went on to spend 10 years of what might be considered a modern day apprenticeship, working for the highly skilled and successful decorative artist Mark Giglio in New York City - during which he had the opportunity to travel abroad extensively and work with some of the leading interior designers in the country.
Charles many inspirations are rooted in the craft of painting and the study of art history which was instilled from a young age. He was drawn to the West Coast for its abundant natural beauty and quality of life which has provided endless inspiration for his work.
